Sometime you can get windows screen with status “Please wait” hangs there for ever !<\/p>\n

For me it was Classic shell<\/strong> software which cause the server to hang on this screen for ever. To uninstall :<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \n
    Start the server in safe mode<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \n
    run msconfig -> choose \"Diagnostic Startup\" -> reboot the server<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n
    the server will boot without any services -> go to control panel -. add remove program & uninstall \"Classic shell\"<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n
    run msconfig again-> this time select\u00a0 \"Normal Startup\" -> reboot the server<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  5. \n
    The server will boot normally again.<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
