{"id":1806,"date":"2021-04-01T03:01:44","date_gmt":"2021-04-01T01:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/itsimple.info\/?p=1806"},"modified":"2021-04-01T03:01:46","modified_gmt":"2021-04-01T01:01:46","slug":"how-to-fix-exchange-failed-database-content-index-on-single-server","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itsimple.info\/?p=1806","title":{"rendered":"How To fix exchange Failed Database Content Index on single server"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When in DAG environment you are able to copy the index&#8217;s files from healthy copy, but on a single server you will need to re-create them. this is the way, first run form exchange power shell :<\/p>\n<pre>Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus *<\/pre>\n<p>This will give you all the database&#8217;s and there current status:<\/p>\n<p>You want to know the database path to reach the index folder :<\/p>\n<pre><span class=\"crayon-v\">Get<\/span><span class=\"crayon-o\">-<\/span><span class=\"crayon-e\">MailboxDatabase \"<\/span><span class=\"crayon-v\">Database name\"<\/span> <span class=\"crayon-o\">|<\/span> <span class=\"crayon-e\">select <\/span><span class=\"crayon-e\">EdbFilePath<\/span><\/pre>\n<p>now you are ready .<\/p>\n<p>Stop the following services:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Microsoft Exchange Search Host Controller<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Exchange Search<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<pre>[PS] C:\\&gt;stop-service MSExchangeFastSearch\n\n[PS] C:\\&gt;stop-service HostControllerService<\/pre>\n<p>Now navigate to the database folder (the path is the one from the command) and delete the folder with the GUID name.
