The latest versions of java have some security improvements that prevents from old applets to run causing a lot of headaches to work with. In order to allow Jave on browser and the applets to run First allow java on browser :<\/p>\n

Internet Explorer<\/u><\/strong><\/pre>\n

    Click Tools<\/b> and then Internet Options<\/b>\r\n<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \n
    Select the Security<\/b> tab, and select the Custom Level<\/b> button\r\n<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n
    Scroll down to Scripting of Java applets<\/b>\r\n<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n
    Make sure the Enable<\/b> radio button is checked\r\n<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  5. \n
    Click OK<\/b> to save your preference<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    Chrome<\/u><\/strong><\/pre>\n

      Click Java (TM) Platform<\/b> plugin (Windows) or Java Applet Plug-in<\/b> (Mac OS X) to select it<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n

      Check that the option selected is Ask to Activate<\/b> or Always Activate<\/b> or on older Firefox versions, click on the Enable<\/b> button (if the button says Disable<\/b>, Java is already enabled)<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
