This result in blocking some linux machine, NAS shares ,streamers and old windows from access the shares and general access to share folders on the network<\/p>\n<p>you might get errors like &#8220;<strong>network path not found<\/strong>&#8221; or :<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-717\" src=\"https:\/\/itsimple.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/shareAccessError-300x171.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"171\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To Enable access to shares with SMB V1.0 just add this key to the registery :<\/p>\n<pre>[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\LanmanWorkstation\\Parameters] \u201cAllowInsecureGuestAuth\u201d=dword:1<\/pre>\n<p>To enable SMB1 on Windows 1803 workstations and above:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Search in the start menu for \u2018Turn Windows features on or off\u2019 and open it<\/li>\n<li>Search for \u2018SMB1.0\/CIFS File Sharing Support\u2019 in the list of optional features that appears, and select the checkbox next to it.<\/li>\n<li>Click OK and Windows will add the selected feature.
