Microsoft Failover Cluster network name resource ‘Cluster Name’ failed registration of one or more associated

 

When working with Microsoft Failover cluster network you might get error :

Cluster network name resource ‘Cluster Name’ failed registration of one or more associated DNS name(s) for the following reason:
The handle is invalid.

In order to solve this the cluster need to fix itself. just open Failover Clusetr Manager -> on the cluster itself -> right click -> more action -> click “Simulate Failure”

Then take the cluster offline

 

Right click ->  More option-> “Repair”

go to the “Cluster Core Resources” -> take the Cluster Name offline -> then right click ->  More option-> “Repair”

The Cluster Name Resource (should re-register correctly in the DNS) Should go online now follow all the Cluster Rolls
