Outlook stop opening links from with in the mail, usually the cause is changing the default browser which change value in the registry, just change the value back to its original, open registry as administrator, Start > Run and typing regedit followed by the Enter key , navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.html :
Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.html
change the default value Data to htmlfile (case-sensitive)
